Mindfulness in the Workplace

Workplace training sessions are all based on Jon Kabat-Zinn’s Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction program (MBSR). Half-day and Full-day training sessions allow you to provide Mindfulness training to your employees over a period of time while still following the MBSR curriculum.

The Full MBSR program is an eight week experimental program including a half-day Silent Retreat. Each class (2.5 hrs.) is covers a specific mindfulness skill (e.g., Perception, Communication, Habitual Stress Response) formal and informal practices, and opportunities to discuss progress and challenges participants are currently experiencing in their Mindfulness practice.  At the close of each class home practice will be suggested.

Each Mindfulness class builds upon the prior creating a seamless application of mindfulness that may be integrated into one’s everyday personal and professional life.  As with most things in life, daily practice reinforces new skills. To support that learning home practice assignments are provided at the end of each class.

In an attempt to meet each workplace’s specific needs, the following options are available:  

Introduction

to Mindfulness

One session

Learn how to be more present in your life in the Introduction to Mindfulness Session. 

This session includes:

Mindfulness

Training (Full Day)

8 hour training session

In the full day mindfulness training, you will learn to access and cultivate your natural capacity to actively engage in caring for yourself and find greater balance, ease and peace of mind.

 

The full day session includes: 

  • Introduction to Mindfulness (1.5 hrs.)

  • Two modules (2.5 each) of your choosing from the 8-week MBSR curriculum guide

  • 1-hour lunch break

  • Two 15 min breaks built in (silent meditation/walking/break)

  • 8 Clock hour CE

  • Maximum participants - 75

Half day session

In the Mindfulness in Everyday Life program, you will learn to access and cultivate your natural capacity to actively engage in caring for yourself and find greater balance, ease and peace of mind.

  • 1 module (2.5 hrs.) of your choice options listed below (any one of the 8 modules)

  • 4 Clock hour CE

  • Maximum participants - 75

Option 2:

  • RAIN (Recognize, Allow, Investigate, Nurture)

  • Introduction to Mindfulness (1.5 hrs.)

  • Introduction to RAIN (2.5 hrs.)

  • 4 Clock hour CE

  • Maximum participants - 75

Option 3:

  • ​Mindful Communication

  • Introduction to Mindfulness (1.5 hrs.)

  • Mindful Communication (Module Six) (2.5 hrs.)

  • 4 Clock hour CE

Based Stress Reduction

Full MBSR program

In the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program, you will learn to access and cultivate your natural capacity to actively engage in caring for yourself and find greater balance, ease and peace of mind.

Option 1:

  • 8 weeks of instruction (2.5 hrs. per week)

  • One 5-hour Silent Retreat

  • 25 Clock hour CE

  • Maximum participants – 20

Option 2:

  • Three full day training sessions 

  • 25 total Clock hour CE for program

  • Maximum participants - 30
